Welcome to Little Seedlings

Little Seedlings was created from an idea in May 2020 during lockdown, whilst playing in the garden, and over the four years has become a warm, inviting community for the families of North Leeds.

Little Seedlings is centred around a community that nurtures the journey of parenthood, through the highs and lows and all that comes in-between. Our families are welcomed into this community through thoughtfully and creatively curated, open ended play opportunities.

Sessions

All our play and resources are carefully selected to support interests and really enrich learning, focusing on a natural, open-ended, child led approach.

We provide a calm space for both parent and child to play and meet others with no judgement, and we support families to build strong support networks with like minded people that lasts a lifetime.

Reviews

"Little Seedlings was always my favourite class to do with K. He was just allowed to be himself and loved all the activities so can’t wait to do it all again with our second."

Be the first to know about new classes!

Thanks, We hope to see you soon!

  • Is the venue friendly for small babies?
Absolutely! We’ve designed the new space to suit families, with activities and equipment for newborns all the way up to age 7
  • Is the Open Play a stay-and-play?
Nope! The new venue isn’t a stay-and-play. It’s a space that combines the flexibility of a play cafe, with the structure of family classes, and the supportive community at the heart of Little Seedlings.
  • Will you still run classes?
There will be a structured part to each day at 10.30 am and 12 pm, which will run exactly the same as a Little Seedlings class. At those times, we will bring everyone together, say hello, sing some songs and run a few activities with guidance before allowing you to access the play we have that week. In addition, we will still run classes at venues across Leeds, as well as occasional specials.
  • Will you still have themes and messy play?
Yes! The new venue has allowed us to introduce bigger play equipment, which will remain the same to build familiarity with the venue. In addition, each week we will provide different, themed activities and messy play throughout the day.
  • Who will I see at the venue?
Lucy and Ally will be on hand every day to direct play, talk you through ideas, and support you in every way we can. We may have other early-years experts in from time to time, too. You’ll also see other families in the space, and (we hope) will grow your friendships and support networks through Little Seedlings.
  • What else will the venue offer?
Your booking is for the full day, so you have access to free play at the venue from 9.15am-12.30pm, as well as free tea and coffee throughout the day, and the structured play at 10:30 and 12pm. We also have a number of different support networks lined up, including cloth nappies, breastfeeding support, weigh-and-plays, and lots more.
